Who Do You Believe?
Kevin O'Connor (Utah Jazz senior vice president of basketball operations), came out and gave his best denial of the Boozer/Harpring rumors. "That's an absolute lie. It's an absolute lie," O'Connor said Monday.
Told it was purportedly an unidentified NBA GM who said that, O'Connor said, "Well, he's a liar, and you can write that. I wish some of these people would step forward and say this is the guy. Put your name next to it.
"We're not shopping them and it's an absolute lie," O'Connor said. On one hand, I'd like to believe him. On the other hand, when it comes off that strong, its starts to sound familiar (ie Raffy's "I have never, ever taken seroids...").
The unnamed GM seems to be sticking to his story. He also indicates what we've all suspected for some time now. Paul is available, though not necessarily in this trade rumor.
Oh yeah, and the Globe and Herald both have the obligitory "lets look at the schedule" mini-articles.
