GP Sounds Off

Gary Payton has come to some conclusions.
Among them: He needs more control, Paul Pierce needs to change the way he plays and, while the 14-year veteran is enjoying the specific challenges with the Celtics, this will almost certainly be his last year in Green. Don't just take the columnist's word for it, go ahead and read the quotes. I wonder if Gary is doing the right thing coming out and saying these things in public, but that's "Gary being Gary." However, I can't say that I can argue with anything he's saying.
As for his one-and-done statement, I think that if he's not going to be a long term part of this team (by that I mean another 2 years or so), then we have to consider trading him at the deadline (or sooner).
