Are You Gellin'?
We've had talent all year. We've had more talent than we've seen in these parts since the late Reggie Lewis passed away. All our players showed spurts of greatness, quickly followed by droughts of incompetence. We gave up big leads, wilted in the 4th, made only a passing effort to rebound. If our sheer scoring purge didn't put us over the top, we were up the creek. That's why we were a .500 (at best) ballclub a week ago.

Now we are staying focused in close games, hustling for lose balls, getting Tommy Points in overtime, and oh yeah, winning. Is one man able to make that big a difference? I know he's a "20 point scorer" and all, but that alone doesn't make the difference. Especially when you factor in the fact that we've been without 2 of our other starters for much of the last 3 games.

The key seems to be chemistry. Walker can be credited with bringing a fire to the belly of this team that we've only seen intermittently this season. He's fanning the flames so-to-speak. He's like BASF. "We don't make a lot of the products you buy. We make a lot of the products you buy better."

I'm not trying to overstate this. Walker isn't a savior. It takes a whole team to win like this and its going to take the whole team to continue the winning ways. However, it is more than a coincidence that things are going well with Walker in the lineup. This team is gellin' like Magellan.
